Chickens not sure about the snow! They didn't want to come out at first but are getting used to it now!

The hens continue to scratch around for insects - even in the hail and snow! It has been a wretched day for them in terms of weather but we still got five eggs! 

Nugget lays an Egg!

Came home today to find that there were 5 eggs! Well done Nuggs!

Pet Rescue!

Honey Henny (pictured) managed to get stuck between the garden shed and the wall today! Neither wall or shed could be moved of course and she could not turn around in a narrowing gap. She was too far in to be reached by human arm so had to be carefully slid out using a soft broom! She seems fine after her ordeal even though she is minus one or two feathers!
